Can you store fish in the ship's freezer?

Does anyone know if some ships might be willing to store the fish you caught in their freezer? Perhaps for a fee?

Has anyone even explorered this?

 

We will be on the Norwegian Dream for a 10-day Alaska cruise and thought maybe we will do some fishing.

I dont have experience personally but heard you could pack them in dry ice and ship them home from the pier, they never mentioned using the ships freezer. Hopefully someone will know! :)

Food obtained in port may not be brought aboard a ship under any circumstances. I don't know whether charter boat companies have arrangements in place to ship fish to your residence (I tend to think that they do - but that's the subject of an intense Google search); but I can state without reservation that you won't be permitted to bring your catch with you. Have a great cruise anyway!

Last time I was in Alaska, I took a fishing trip from Holland America and they took the fish at the gang plank and froze it for us. Picked it up the morning of departure. Sorry I can't help give any help for your cruise.

On Princess, only Princess sponsored fishing tours allow you to bring fish onboard. They will freeze it for you and you can take it home at the end of the cruise. Some tours will pack the fish and ship to your home for an extra fee.

We went on princess a couple years ago and had a fishing tour in Talkeetna. They fileted the fish at the dock when we got back. they had a list of different ways to prepare the fish, and shipped it to our house. It arrived in a little cooler in about a week.
