New NCL Coupon Books Released

Does anyone know if these are usable on the Sky? I didn't see any fine print saying one way or the other. Someone mentioned earlier that some of the discounts are similar to Latitudes deals but those aren't available on the shorter cruises so a couple of the coupons would be handy.

One more question, the 10% off spa coupon says it's not combinable with any other offers or promotions. Does that mean it can't be used for one of their port specials? That would be disappointing.

I don't know what was offered before but this set doesn't really offer anything spectacular. The best deal, I think, is the specialty dining one. We'll make good use of that :D

I wonder how come the two for one dining is not available on the Sun? Aren't both of those restaurants on the Sun?

No Mexican restaurant on the Sun... we were just on it and they said sorry--- coupon is no good here- they do have an Italian one so the next book works for them

Sure hope you are right! But if you read all the fine print at the bottom of the new dining coupon for 2011 the SUN is not listed. Perhaps it is just an oversight or mistakenly copied from the 2010 coupon...

And lets not forget how bad there house wine is. I think it would work better as paint stripper.

And the dining coupons aren't even usable on the Epic, guess they already know that not only are they not sailing near full that they are already losing money on the ship.

Tightwallet, I agreed with you 110%. 'And lets not forget how bad there house wine is', guess you tried it :p. Not me, I brought a few of my favorite bottles, even the waiter said, 'this is a good wine'.

Inside of me I said, 'yup, I know my wine and feel bad for the folks that got charged 3X or more for a few dollar bottle', which I almost laugh out loud.

Yup, most of their sailing is nearly full. If you check say 30 days sailing, most of the category is available and the price is less than what you paid initially. If you compared with other new ships...their price kept going up with full sailing but not Epic.

I printed the coupons from your link. Some say "original certificate only" so, if I print in color, do you think they are acceptable to use. Thanks Dona

Since anyone that gets their e-docs has access to these coupons, I think what NCL meant to say is that only one coupon USE per person. (After all, everyone and everything is tracked by using our ship cards,) As a matter of fact, the certificates say. "Limit one certificate per guest."

We go the Le Bistro anyway, so now's our chance to try the Italian restaurant. As to the house wines... they may not be a 95/100, but they're okay.

The $100 OBC NOW if you put deposit on an upcoming cruise is the usual deal as are the extra Internet minutes.

HI: WAS just reading all these posts about the coupon booklet! If I read it correctly, there are NO casino coupons? Like spend $10 and they give you $10? No match play or free pulls? Well, that sort of stinks! Just want to clarrify what I've read! I was contemplating using a lot of casino $10 match for a possible cruise..To cut my lossess.

Thanks for whatever info. Thinking of 11/26/11, 11 Night Eastern Med on the Jade.

Safe sails.

For those that did not get the coupon book, you did not missed a thing.

Those coupons book is a joke, it's a bait to spent more :D

Got mine weeks prior to sailing and threw in the trash after a minute.

Think only NCL use them, I rather get the OBC.

who wouldn't rather get an OBC, but that is a whole different story. I am happy with anything that saves me even a few cents. If it isn't worth anything, oh well, I didn't pay for it anyway. What do you get from your frequent flyer accounts, or your hotel programs? I remember when Hilton offered great hotel benies for almost no points. Now, even hotels like Hampton Inns require 25000 points. Any idea how long it takes for most of us to get that many points. The airlines, almost nothing unless you travel a lot on business. I could go on and on. I just have never found any free programs all that worth while.

What do you get from your frequent flyer accounts, or your hotel programs?

We are Aeroplan members (Air Canada) using Amex we rarely pay for our flights, our upcoming cruise in Jan. is free, our past Hawaii cruise 10/2010 was free and we have enough points to book Hawaii flights when they open up for 2012.

We use Amex faithfully for everything and will go out o our way to shop at only business that take Amex.

But I have to say that I lose sleep at night trying to figure out ways of maxing out whatever for the points.

One good example is CIBC bank offers and Aeroplan card as well and twice a year they offer 15K in points to joint up costing $90 annual fee. So I sign up pay fee for one year, cancel card at renewal then resign when they run the next promo.

The cost to buy 15k in points on open market is 4 cents .04 x 15k=$600 verses membership cost of $90 dollars

I personally think that the best way to utilize these programs is to pick one or two and stay only with them rather than joint every possible award program out there.

15K in points = almost 40% of the points needed for 1 flight to Hawaii.

The new (2011 thru 2012) NCL Coupon Books are now available. Most cruisers will find a link included with their eDocs. However, the following link can also be used:

New 2011/12 Coupons

This bunch is very similar to the coupons that have been offered in the past. The major differences are:

  • New Art Auction Coupon Added
  • Spa Coupon Offers Have Been Changed
  • Dining “Buy Two (Le Bistro) get One (TexMex) Free” Changed To “Buy Two (Le Bistro) get one (Italian) Free”
  • No Casino Coupons
  • No Bingo Coupons

here is the link. this is the 1st time I think I figured out how to link on this site.
