ashumate2 Posted February 26, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2005  What's the dress code for men in the dining room on non-formal nights? Are shorts or jeans acceptable? Help?!
mambopalace Posted February 26, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2005 Sailed Glory Feb 5 -12. Shorts not allowed in dining room for dinner. That doesn't mean you can't wear them - They didn't turn anyone away. There are 2 formal nights on this cruise.;)
happy cruzin Posted February 26, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 26, 2005 In your Carnival info that comes with your tickets it clearly says no shorts or "t-shirts" in the dining room. Although I agree...I have NEVER seen them turn anyone away...even on formal nights! This is probably my pet peeve with Carnival. I do not see why they would allow people in shorts in the dining room - if they publish the policy that says "no". If they are going to allow shorts they should do away with the policy. HeidiHo Posted February 27, 2005 #6 Share Posted February 27, 2005 I have seen men turned away for wearing shorts. It was on the Pride 2 years ago. I can't remember the name of the Maitre d'.
OCruisers Posted February 27, 2005 #7 Share Posted February 27, 2005 Not worried about shorts/t-shirts in the main dining room at night -- would NEVER do that! Question Please: So there are EITHER Formal Nights (tux) or Casual Nights (golf/collared shirts with long pants) ................ If you're taking a TUX, do you also NEED a sports coat for any reason? Happy Sailing! OCruisers :)
