The Bar Set-Up.....

On previous NCL cruises I have ordered a bottle of vodka for my cabin. Are the rules different in Hawaii? I can't find the person to email for the POA. Can anyone help?

Thanks

My understanding and I could be wrong, you can not get a bar set up when embarking in Hawaii. What a bummer, plus there are no casinos. I knew there was a reason we won't do Hawaii..LOL

Yep, we cancelled Hawaii. Between all the smoking, drinking, and gambling restrictions we decided we'd rather go back to the Caribbean!:)

Is the Bar Set-Up only meant for groups? I see you have to email the group booking people....

Is it available for just "us"? If we'd like a bottle in our cabin? Or does it have to be for a party or the like?

If you are going on another ship other than POA you can order the set-up. It's well worth it even though it seems expensive at first glance.

As others have said, except on POA, the bar set up is for anyone. Just email GroupEventship@ncl.com substituting the word Ship by the name of your ship. We used them to get a liter of Southern Comfort before our b2b2b cruises. Even though it was $83 for a liter, in the long run it was a lot cheaper than buying drinks.

Where can I find out the specific smoking and drinking restrictions on the POA? (I don't gamble:).)

I really want to see Hawaii.

what do you mean by drinking restrictions? I don't think there are many restrictions as long as you are old enough. As for smoking, there will be smoking allowed in the cabins, on balconies and one side of the ship, that is about it. There might be a smoking allowed bar.

Hi Trolly-

I don't think there's a link. I believe you have to email the address listed above (groupeventpearl@ncl.com) (insert other ship name if you're not on the Pearl) to get the pricing. However, when I checked I think everything was pretty much about $63, $83, or $103 for 1 liter--depending on the brand (Smirnoff, Absolute, Grey Gooose for vodka). You do place your order in advance and pay in advance with a credit card-through the group event coordinator (email address above).

hope this helps
