elcuchio24 Posted January 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2011 Anyone stay at this Doubletree on southbeach? We're looking for a nice spot for the night inbetween our B2B.
eandj Posted January 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2011 Didn't stay there but checked it out. I think it would be a very good choice!!! Nice location for walking.
mnsawyer Posted January 14, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 14, 2011 We have never stayed there but walked by it many times. It is a fabulous location and within walking distance to all of the great spots including Lincoln Road, shopping, Ocean Drive, etc. On the boardwalk side, the pool area looks nice but have never been inside the hotel. I have read on tripadvisor. com that the rooms are small but all rooms are on SB with the older hotels. Am sure you have made a great choice. Enjoy! Stayed there a couple of times and it is a really nice hotel that feels more like a resort than a hotel. Downside is that because the hotel was a renovation and not a gut job, the rooms are still very small because the hotel was originally built in the 1940s or 1950s. Small but very nicely appointed. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. MTV used this hotel as their headquarters while the MTV VMAs were held in Miami. It's oceanfront sandwiched between the swanky Delano and Ritz-Carlton South Beach. You really cannot go wrong with this hotel.
jjb415 Posted January 15, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 15, 2011 I stayed there several years ago and agree with others. It offers a great South Beach feel & the pool area is fun with nice access to the beach.
