Southern Caribbean Suggestions

I hope to tap into the vast experience of cruisers.

 

We want to visit the ABC islands, more specifically Curacao. What ship, leaving from Ft Lauderdale or Miami, would you suggest? (No more than 10 days)

 

We just got off the Allure and have been spoiled. What ship is comparable or near comparable to the Allure? (I guess I am asking for a newer ship).

 

We want a balcony so could you please also include what deck/area of the ship, starboard, port, etc. you would recommend. And any tips about the ship and excursions.

Nothing in the RCCL sailings meet your criteria right now. You'd have to sail out of San Juan (Adventure/Serenade) or Colon Panama (Grandeur).

I would agree. Celebrity sends one of their newest ships (Equinox, only about a year and a half old at this point), on 10 night Ultimate Caribbean cruises that go to all of the exotic Southern Caribbean Destinations.

Princess has a couple ships that go to to the southern Caribbean out of Ft. Lauderdale. The Emerald Princess has a 10 day cruise and the Grand has a 14 day. I was just on the Grand in November and it was a great 14 day cruise

Nothing compares to Oasis/Allure BUT.............

 

If you want to go out of FLL to Curacao you need to do Carnival Miracle 8day,Hal Westerdam 7day or Crown Princess 7day

 

there is also 10day Hal Zuiderdam or Emerald Princess

 

Personally my favorite is CCL Miracle but Im biased as that is my favorite Carnival ship
