Spirit Cruisers: Tornadoes in NOLA

I just turned on the Weather Channel, and they're reporting tornadoes have touched down in New Orleans with multiple fatalities.

Not true. It was in Southwest Louisiana, NOT New Orleans.

Sorry, you're right. When I first heard it, I thought they said New Orleans. Now, I see that they're saying west of New Orleans.

Lots of rain and postponed parades until Sunday.

Way West of NO, Rayne which is west of Lafayette. Quite a ways from NO.

New Orleans is almont 200 miles or so east of the tornato area today. It does not effect the cruise ship at all. If you go to the Port of New Orleans site Sunday morning, you can see the Spirit in port. I live 30 miles west of the port and was there a couple of Sundays ago and saw it. Can't wait to board the Spirit on March 13, a week from now. Rained a lot today, messed up some parades, but tomorrow through Mardi Gras should be great weather.

appears to have delayed the Triumph departure today...no confirmation about that however.

As horrible as it appears it was, thank goodness it wasn't any worse. I just think, we were heading home (driving) this time last week.

Ya had me going there for a moment. As others pointed out, they were NOT in NOLA. West of NOLA in Rayne and only 1 person was killed. My prayers go out for all the people affected by the storm.
