What is the D lounge? Where is it located on the Golden? Thanks

The departure lounge is the lounge where you wait to depart the ship at the end of the cruise.

You will be notified on board where it will be for your particular cruise.

They must have changed the list a bit as the last three or four cruises in a full suite, we did not receive the leather wallet, or the silver princess pen. Thankfully I saved the leather wallets so take them with us each time. And I love the pens. Too bad they stopped giving out these two items now.

In fact, when Captain Jerman saw my leather wallet for my cruise card a couple of weeks ago on the Royal, he asked me where we had acquired it, as he had only seen one other one in all his years of cruising. The first ones were the best, as they had several extra little pockets in them. The newer ones were just a flap style with no extra pocket.

We did receive leather wallets last month on the Ruby again.

Another suite perk is a portrait sitting and you are not obligated to buy the photos, although ours turned out great with St Thomas in the background (Havensight dock) last year. DVD library and in suite tea service, although they bring you a selection of cookies.

The best suite perk are the lounge chairs on the balcony.

Glad to hear you received the wallets. We have not gotten one in a full suite in the last 4 cruises. :( Maybe they just ran out of them? But it's been 3 or 4 years since we received a new one, so that would be a very long time to have them not reorder more of them. Will have to wait and see if we get one the next time. ;)

We recieved the wallets and pens last May (Golden), December (Emerald), and last month on Sapphire. They were always on the desk when we entered the cabin on the first day. One change that threw us the first day on Sapphire last month was instead of having the dining room menu individually in the folder for each meal, they were stacked, i.e. lunch on one side and dinner on the other, and to see the entire menu you had to look under the first page.

On the Royal last month, we didn't receive the menus at all. Finally I asked about them and was told they were only going to be supplied 'upon request' only now?????? That didn't make any sense at all to me so I went to the Maitre D' and asked him. He said there were changes happening and if the suite passenger didn't request the menus for the cruise, they were not automatically supplied anymore. (our friend in another suite asked several times and they were never supplied to her at all for 22 days). Something weird there as in order to order meals, you need to have the menu supplied. But then, there were several things on the Royal that were totally different for the suites then we have found in the past. We haven't received the wallets or pens on the Grand Princess in 2009, Pacific Princess in 2010, the Emerald Princess or the Royal Princess in 2011 when booked in a full suite. Very very strange.
