Thanks everyone for the comments. My DW & I really enjoyed our experience at the Chef's Table. My desire in this review was to show everyone how great it was and that it truly is worth every penny. We can't wait to do it on the Freedom this October. :D

Thank you for the great pics. I sent off our email last night and am now awaiting a reply. I requested seating for 7. I am super excited. The food looks DELICIOUS!!! If your ship has a steakhouse, many people are sending direct emails to them for reservations for the chef's table and are getting a response within an hour up to 48 hrs. So we shall see! We are sailing the Valor in July.

Thank you so much for the pictures! My son and I had already decided to do this on our May sailing of the Paradise, but this just drives it home that we made the right decision. Man now I really can't wait, as I wipe the drool from my chin. Gotta love food porn!

  • 2 weeks later...

When we cruise, we always eat in the MDR for dinners. We never pay the extra to eat in the specialty restaurants, as we enjoy the "free" food just fine. BUT, for our Med cruise on the Magic in May, we will definitely take advantage of the Chef's Table!!! We will have 4 of us, DW and myself celebrating our 25th anniversary on the cruise and our 2 sons, celebrating their recent college graduation (and hopefully employment). I know you cannot make reservations in advance (correct?) so what is the process of making reservations? I am sure it will be an experience to remember! Thanks.

You can make reservations ahead of time. Emailing the steakhouse for chef's table reservations is the easiest and quickest way. Just confirm ship name, sail date, passenger name, cabin and/or booking #. The email address for the miracle is misteakhouse@carnival.com or you can contact John Heald on his blog or wait until boarding. I emailed the Valor steakhouse and received chef's table confirmation within 10 hours. Good luck!

Since there is no Specialty Restaurant on Paradise or any of the other Fantasy Class ships, I would suggest going through John Hearld's Blog, follow this link and scroll down a little ways for instructions

I want to thank you again for posting your fabulous Chef's Table pics. My DH and I will be on the Paradise in August and it was your images that pushed us into deciding to book Chef's Table.

You can book Chef's Table on the Fantasy Class ships by emailing the Maitre'd (since there are no Steakhouses). We did this last week and received a response with confirmation the following morning. We included our names, dates of travel, cabin # and booking # and sent it to: pamaitred@carnival.com.

Thank you again! We are looking forward to this experience a lot! :)

Several of us on the Magic in May have already made reservationsn for the Chef's Table. Just send an e-mail to drsteakhouse@carnival.com and the Steakhouse hostess on the Dream will make the reservation for the Magic since no one is on the Magic yet. Others received their confirmations within a couple of days but ours took five days. At least we have a printed confirmation.

Sorry, for some reason I read Miracle and not Magic.

Thanks for the review!

I was going to do the Captains Table on the Destiny in Sept, but after reading the reviews that the Destiny Captains Table fell a bit short, I think I will give it a try on the Paradise instead.

Does the Paradise also offer the Chef's Table on the 3 day cruise?

That is a good question, I don't know. But, you could email the Maitre'd to request a reservation (that's what I did for the 4-day). They are quick to respond (I heard back by the next morning), so they would let you know if it wasn't possible. Here is the email: pamaitred@carnival.com.

That's exactly what I did. Thanks so much for the info. I will wait for a response.
