Ann R Posted March 17, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2011 To clarify, I mean a time before dinner each night when there are 2 for 1 drinks or discounted drink prices.
*Mach* Posted March 17, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2011 Nope... but, if you watch the Fun Times, you'll find that there are daily drink specials. Also, on the last day of your voyage there is the Fun Farewell party where drinks are free... :)
terryinal Posted March 17, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2011 I think they have one night for 1 or 2 hrs when the drinks are a 1 dollar off. Seems like it was when you meet the officers

flgojo Posted March 17, 2011 #9 Share Posted March 17, 2011 All the hours are "happy" when I am on a cruise. But no discounts. There is a Martini Special where you get to try 4 different martinis for $15 a couple of times.
deadmoney Posted March 17, 2011 #10 Share Posted March 17, 2011 My happy hours generally start after the first bucket of beer is done:D

Shipbound Posted March 17, 2011 #12 Share Posted March 17, 2011 Many years they use to have a happy hour(2 for1) but again they use to have many things that do not have now I noticed the change when Carnival became more of a Family cruise line and not just for single people. dcedar Posted March 17, 2011 #13 Share Posted March 17, 2011 On the Dream they had a drink special every night that was $1 off. They also paired it with some sort of a snack. One night was martini's, one was wine, one was margaritas, and one was mojitos. I don't recall the other nights. The snacks were chips and salsa, potato frittata thingy, a cheese puff thingy, and something else. We met our friends there almost every night before dinner. It was nice. And....the sushi bar was very close by. Yay:) I looooooooved the Coconut Mojito!!!! Who knew those flavors would blend so well. Mmmmm.
Nezmo Posted March 17, 2011 #14 Share Posted March 17, 2011 I'm always amazed when information is posted (ie. there are a few specials) and then folks come in a say the opposite (no discounts). I guess some ships are different in how they do things. My experience on two Carnival ships is with those who talk about the occasional specials like the Bloody Mary's and $1 off, etc. Remember the cheaper refills on DODs if you reuse the 'glass.' They still give free drinks at the Captains Party on the 3 night cruise and there is no Farewell Party. It was in the Fun Times as "Happy Hour".
