tricy99 Posted April 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2011 I went bowling this weekend for DH bday and we had a thought.....Is there a reason, Carnival does not have a bowling alley or even pool tables? We thought maybe because of the motion of the boat, but then again, they have golf, waterslide, treadmills, basketball hoops. It seems to me that a some point or another if a wave is big enough, it could be dangerous. Just looking on some input or thoughts on this.
golfb4cruzing Posted April 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2011 I have seen bowling alley and they recently got pool tables. They even have cornhole in the Main Atrium. Everything one could hope for to have a redneck cruise. If they replace the Hairy Chest contest with Hog Callin' then it would be complete. MissDiva1 Posted April 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2011 NCL has the bowling alleys.......I believe someone just posted a review recently that the Valor has pool tables now.......
Havingfun2010 Posted April 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Nice ideas, but I think the pool tables that are on some ships are self leveling, or "expensive" tables. For bowling, it would be easy, but most people would barely be able to play two games in one hour. So how many lanes would the ship need to prevent people getting PO'd for waiting their turn?? It has to do with keeping people happy, or preventing people from getting unhappy!
firefly333 Posted April 26, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Im on Jewel OTS and heard it has the self leveling pool tables. NCL has bowling if you are looking for that. It takes up a lot of room and more people want to bowl than there are lanes.
scchasgal Posted April 26, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 26, 2011 I have been on NCL Pearl with the bowling alleys and it is a blast. It was not busy at all when we went. It is a must on a sea day I think I bowled better when the ship was moving than on dry land:p:D

Thanks all, that is why I love CC, can't figure everything out by myself ;)

steveNcindy Posted April 27, 2011 #11 Share Posted April 27, 2011 They don't want people smuggling their own balls onboard. The extra weight will incur extra longshoreman charges:confused:
