With the on board internet being so slow and therefore pricey did you use internet cafes on shore instead? Any good ones in the ports on the JOS Baltic cruises out of Harwich?

I cannot speak to specific internet cafes on the JOS Baltic cruises. However, I always find that the ship's crew is a great resource for this info. I have found that they typically know exactly where to go for free or at least inexpensive access.

No. Never used internet cafe's ashore. Never found a need to. I leave work and the rest of the world behind when on vacation.

I have used them all over the world and at each location the Internet service was free for about 30 minutes, though I always gave a buck or two as a donation to the library so they could continue the service to travelers.

Seconded. They can be relied on to know that of which they also have a great need!

In Norway we used the libraries you get 1-2 hrs free

 

Mc Donalds & Starbucks also have free internet
