Musingin50mm Posted July 13, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2011 We tried all three specialty restaurants on Celebrity Eclipse during our June 18 sailing to the Baltics and in particular enjoyed Qsine and Murano. Our opinion is of course subjective. Here is a link for some pictures of what we had in Qsine. However, if you prefer to be surprised when you visit, then skip the pictures and just go give it a try. It was fun. http://effli.wordpress.com/2011/07/13/dinner-at-qsine-specialty-restaurant-on-celebrity-eclipse/

cpinstein Posted July 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2011 We ate at Quisine last year and was blown away. I'm debating whether to book 2 nights this spring. Was the second night a disappointment, or worth it? Thanks for your advice.
Musingin50mm Posted July 13, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted July 13, 2011 It was worth it, especially since we were really disappointed with the food served in the main dining room. Also, you can always book after you've tried it once. The second time we dined there, there was a 20% off offer for that day. These offers are detailed in the daily program distributed the night before.
metgame24 Posted July 13, 2011 #5 Share Posted July 13, 2011 Great pictures and review! Trying to convince my DH that it is worth a trip on our Silhoutte cruise in March. Maybe these pictures will help convince him. Thanks ;)
psyfi Posted July 13, 2011 #6 Share Posted July 13, 2011 We did Qsine last year, it was a lot of fun and very different, making it worth the cost. We joined up with some of our Roll Call members which was great because it allowed us to try a lot more things--I did not get to try everything I wanted, but that just means there is a reason to go back! Compass Rose Monica Posted July 15, 2011 #9 Share Posted July 15, 2011 I'm looking forward to dining in Qsine on the Eclipse, although I will miss the Silk Harvest restaurant. The sushi was the best!

It was fun.http://effli.wordpress.com/2011/07/13/dinner-at-qsine-specialty-restaurant-on-celebrity-eclipse/ Your visuals are super excellent and you offer great info on Qsine. We just complete our first sailing with Celebrity last month and did their three speciality dining places. Of course, the Solstice doesn't have Qsine. We were surprised at how well we liked ALL THREE of these dining options. Each is different, but very, very good in their own ways. For us, the MDR was good to OK with these three speciality places adding nice variety and timing flexibility to our cruise schedule. At this location: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1434523&page=2 others can see many pictures and details from our experiences at all three of the speciality places on the Solstice. Musingin50mm Posted July 15, 2011 Author #11 Share Posted July 15, 2011 Hi Terry, Thanks for your comments. Your pictures look great too. For the pictures, I mainly use a Nikon D300 with a 50mm/1.4G lens. I use an ISO of 800-1600, and avoid the flash.
Rare TLCOhio Posted July 15, 2011 #12 Share Posted July 15, 2011 Hi Terry, Thanks for your comments. Your pictures look great too. For the pictures, I mainly use a Nikon D300 with a 50mm/1.4G lens. I use an ISO of 800-1600, and avoid the flash. Appreciate the follow-up info and nice comments. You have a great camera with a super fast lens. I should try and do more with using a higher ISO for certain lighting situations. Mostly, I just set the ISO at 400. I have a Nikon D3100 now. Have been a Nikon owner and user for 40+ years. Good stuff! THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio
