Port Everglades to FLL

I would not take the Princess transfers to the port, no matter how much shipboard credit I had. A taxi is faster and less expensive with no waiting around.

Just go to the casino and take out whatever shipboard credit you have that is non refundable from a slot machine, and save yourself the headache of waiting for the bus to fill at the airport. ;)

If you are talking about a rental car, depending on the company you booked with, they should provide you a shuttle to the rental agency, even if you are going to pick up the car at the airport. If not, the cost is usually under $15 from the pier to the airport by taxi. ;)

How much does Princess charge for transport from Port Everglades to Ft. Lauderdale Airport? Yes, I know that we can take a taxi but, for an upcoming cruise, we have a boat-load of onboard credit and we won't be spending a lot on Princess excursions. Thx for any info.

$14 per person and long wait until the bus fills up. Take your cash out and forget about the shuttle.

I usually figure $20 including the tip, but generally it is a little less than that. One thing to watch in Port Everglades is the cabbie starting the meter while loading your luggage...often the sheriff's deputy will spot this and have the meter turned off but if not point it out to the deputy.

Most companies no longer do this for FLL. In February, only National and Alamo offered this service to the airport.

We are aware that there are some categories of shipboard credit that can be cashed out at the purser's desk. How do you get to cash out OBC at the casino? Pls advise re the process since we never visit the shipboard casino (we live in Vegas). Thx.

1. Go to a slot machine.

2. Insert your cruise card

3. Follow instruction card on how to load $$$ from your onboard cabin account to the slot machine. Caasino personnel will assist if you ask them.

4. Play some to have fun and to satisfy the desire of Princess to use some of that money in the casino.

5. Upload the remaining money from the machine to your cruise card.

6. Go to the casino cashier and ask to have the money on the cruise card paid to you in US$.

You also have to realize that there is the account that created when you checked on to the ship & has your cabin credit dollars and a separate casino account that won't be created until you follow the instructions given by caribill. They are two separate accounts and you have to manually transfer cabin credit from one to the other at any slot machine. (your balance will be shown on the slot machine when you insert your cruise card). I've never played with a dollar of the money put in the casino account and usually transfer a large amount at the beginning of the cruise and the remainder towards the end after we spend what cabin credit we want. I'll just calculate closely enough to have $20 or $30 charged on my card from my on board account & the transferred casino cash goes in my pocket.
