I do have a piece of advice for all the gamblers out there. If you have gambled on Carnival and have spent some time and $$ doing so....Call the Carnival players club at 1888-672-2582 and see if you qualify for a nice bon voyage package. They are only open from 8-5 eastern time.

Thanks Peachcrek but I am still confused as we are Platinum members with Carnival already and we always receive the canapes, strawberries, VIP gift etc. in our room whenever we travel. I was trying to figure out what we get from the Casino as last time we sailed in January we definitely got our 1500+ points in the Casino.

this is what one poster had listed on a cruise they just returned from in July, and I guess if you are entitled to a cash comp that will be included also some folks got 50.00 some got more!! so you will be surprised if you get cash comp also

Carnival has a Blog on their site called Funville with lots of questions and answers!!!

1. bottle of champagne 2. packet of bar coupons 3. chcolate covered strawberrires 4. 8X10 photo coupon 5. 2 1 liter bottles of water

fran

Will do, I know I'm so excited, I would say I am ready to go now but since my husband is sailing from Korea to South Africa, I have to wait on him, then I'll be so dang ready!

wow that sounds exciting is he in the service or does he work on a ship like merchant marine, has he been gone long??? bet your excited to go off in the sunset with him on your cruise!!! NICE!!!!

He's in the oil industry, right now they're moving a new build to Brazil, which is where he actually works. They're doing a crew change in South Africa, so he'll fly home from there. I think he's been gone about 5 weeks so far. And yes, very excited, he either had a shellfish allergy or got food poisioning on our 1st cruise on the Conquest 6 years ago for our honeymoon, so he's giving me a do over.

super!!! I do not eat any fish on the cruises the only fish I eat is shrimp cocktail and the lobster I stay away from anything else well enjoy your time with him!!!

do you check prices at all after you book for further discounts I got one the last time we cruised We had inside cabins at 249.00 each and they dropped about 5 to 6 weeks before the cruise and we got them for 179.00 so we got 100.00 obc something to get in the habit of checking for current sales. Carnival has a form you fill out to request if you find the cruise cheaper then what you paid for it worth alittle research even if it is on 20.00 on cabin TA dont tell you about it because that means they have more paperwork to fill out do not know if it hurts their commission but it falls under some sort of fair pricing thingy so check it out put in your information like you were booking it today and see what price pops up if it less you may be entiled to OBC I am now working on a 40.00 per cabin credit for our 3 cabins as they are running a sale this weekend just heard back they are checking it to see if qualify for it fingers crossed thats 120.00 saving for 3 cabins!!!!!:D

I hope you get it. I did the fair watcher or viewer thingy the other day and couldn't get my cabin class to come up, so I guess we won't be getting an OBC this time but I also just booked a week ago, Once he's on his regular schedule we hope to cruise more often so then I can book them out and hopefully can watch the prices drop!! I hope you have a great time on your cruise.

Any chance you maybe going, I'll share my package with you!! Oh and I ordered cake, would share that as well! :-) just saying I'll share

Unfortunetly since I retired I can only squeeze one cruise a year now, I used to do 2 a year when I was working. you will be super happy I think with 9b cat we went cabin snooping a few times and the 9b are pretty nice, big balcony area. I think you will be pleased, I just found out today my family in fla. are planning a cruise in April and I will not be able to make that one about 40 to 50 friends and family go they did one last year too and I had already booked a 13 day on msc when they planned that one, they seem to book after I plan a trip guess we will never get together untill I decide to move to fla. one day lolol. I absolutely love the western cruises Cozumel is one of my favs along with Costa Maya enjoy the trip while your sipping on your margarita and leaving the port in Cozumel think of me lolol yeah like I will be the last thing on your mind lmao !!!! :D

what's your favorite flavor?? It's the least I could do! Do you solo cruises?

Just a frozen regular Margarita, :D

no I try to go with friends when ever they can get away, I wish solo cruising was not so expensive I wish carnival would come up with some kind of reasonable fare, I would even pay double the tip for the cabin if they would bring the single fares down its really not fair to have to pay double for the cabin if you travel solo, so I have a friend from my work I retired from and we go together when ever she can get away, we are going on this cruise with her daughter, its her 1st cruise.

my daughter and her boyfriend also going with us and then, my friends cousins from Mich. are also going, I do not know if this is thier first cruise or not we are all over 40 the poor guy thats going with us is going to be surrounded by 6 women lololol

I would love for them to make solo cruises affordable. I'm sure I could get more cruises in that way :-p. It's good that you have friends to go with. Most of my friends just work way to much. But I'm doing my best to figure out away. Someone here on cc has a signature that says "cruising is my crack", I love it, that's exactly how I feel

lol thats funny !! I have 5 grown kids my youngest daughter use to go with me but she has taken on a husband so, so much for our cruising together in fact she met him onone of our cruises lolol, my oldest daughter now trys to go with me every once in awhile, she is going on the next one, only because it was so inexpensive this time around and flights were cheap to fla. I used to have a room mate, we used to go all the time, but he has sinced moved out hence a drop in my income!! lol so I could afford to go twice a year luck would have it I have a friend from my old job that enjoys cruising and she calls when she gets the bug, and I find us something that is a good deal!! we did a 13 day last year to Panama for 850.00 Balcony out of nyc On MSC. not crazy about the Line but it was a nice trip we met some girls who were from Canada. that were a blast to hang out with we met them here on cruise critic we had a good time one of the girls sons is now on Victory as a entertainer in dance group she was so excited he got the job while we were cruising she was beside herself she wanted to join us but opted for dec cruise to see him on the victory. well I hope to hear something back today it is tuesday hopefully TA will find some thing back. FINGERS STILL CROSSED

Just wondering, what information do you need to give the Carnival Players Club when you call? Thank you!
