Looks like you had a great excursion to Capri. I did Pompeii in 2009 and loved every minute of it. It was hot, I mean hot but I am glad I did it. I hope to make it back over as I would like to do Capri.. Great pictures and great review.:)

Now, according the Antonio, this boat in the picture, Marlin, belonged to JFK.

Now I wonder why he named it that ??

Could it be that he loved catching Marlin's ? Or, that he Named it after Marlin Monroe ?

I dont know, I am just a dumb foreigner...

Before I finish this part, I just wanted to share something with you all….

We love Carnival, and they are great, we love 99% of the stuff they do.

We went on a lovely day out, there were 6 of us in the boat, with loads of space to lay in the sun, to walk around, and, just have a good time. And, the swimming in the sea, was the cherry on top.

The picture below, will explain why we do not do ships excursions….

After the tour, I realised, I made a simple mistake that morning, that could have been disastrous, so, thanks to Mr P for sorting thing out for us.

We went back to the ship, as it was hot that day.

Again, straight into the pool

When we got to our cabin, this was waiting for us.

And, NO, we did not ask for it, we did not bribe anybody, we just wrote John Heald a Dear John letter.

If you sail with him, you will know what they are, as this was our Anniversary, and the GF birthday. Her birthday was the day we were in Venice.

So, that was Ship on Stick # 2 - Beat That Penquin Lady. I dont even have to do Trivia, they just provide me with them....

We won 2 more, but that is comming later.

By this time, the ship ran out of Fosters Beer. Good thing I had 20 still in my cabin

People enjoying the pool.

As the sun sets late, it looks like it could be middle of the afternoon, but it was getting late, so we were thinking dinner.

But, we could not contenplate getting dressed, even making the effort to go, so we went to the Pizza place.

This was the first cruise we did not eat every meal in the Main Dining Room - Well, Dinner that is

Tonight’s Showtime Show was Katy Setterfield – A woman of many voices.

She sang some great music, from the 60's to today

It was Daisy…, Annie Lennox, Cher, and Tina Turner.

Here is her bio page, have a look, she was really great....

After that, we did the A night of Magic in the Spotlight lounge.

There were 3 people performing tonight, Mark Miller – very Good, Sukesh Pattanaik, and Aaron Nelson

After that, we went to bed. This was our companion for tonight.

This is the first great review I have read about the 12 day cruise. You are very much like us, we rarely complain and are happy to be crusing!! We are doing private tours as well.......8 to 16 people....I know what you mean!!

Really want that ship on a stick!! Clue us in on the trivia answers!!!

Day 6 – Messina Sicily

Well, this was to be our quiet day, as we would have been quite active by now, so we decided to take the day off. All we had planned was to talk to the Bell Tower, and see the clock strike 12 in the afternoon, and hear the loin roar

So, we set off, no map in hand, in the general direction of the BellTower

We found it eventually. We did not even get lost, twice; we just took the scenic route.

We walked kind of around to the top the hill to the church; we took pictures from over there.
