I know the look you're going for. But that jacket is very busy; I'd probably try something like this.

The striped one is a real, 1930's club blazer... It is beautiful! Although, yes, it is rather busy... But I love it!

 

I do agree though Whitemarsh, that is also one stunning looking jacket... And I know you know what I know is the look I know I want to go for... :)

I have 2 ball gowns that will only be worn when I book another Cunard sailing. My DH and I call our Cunard trip the prom for grown ups!

Have fun with your clothes. You can never be too rich, too thin, or, with Cunard, too dressed up!

Agreed! I had four formal dresses and three semi-formals for the seven nights on QM2 returning November 17. Even on the last "elegant casual" night, I saw sequins and dresses which could pass on a formal night on other cruise lines.

And that, in a couple of sentences, neatly sums up one of the many things I like about Cunard. By and large most people play the game as far as the dress code is concerned, and the few who don't simply serve to provide an additional source of entertainment.
