Port Shuttles

We're first time cruisers sailing on Voyager of the Seas from Singapore to Shanghai on June 11th next year. I notice regular comments about shuttles provided by the cruise lines into the port city.

Is there usually a cost for these and are they also available when the ship docks at the end of the cruise?

Yes, and although they're usually not that expensive ($12 or so pp each way), they are often more expensive than other options, IF other options exist (i.e., walking, cabs, buses) - for some ports the ship's shuttle is the only option available. You pretty much have to research each port to know for sure, which I am just now beginning to do for our Asian ports, so I have no specific insight about any of them.

You may want to ask this on the pages for RCCL. Each cruise line decides when to and when not to off shuttles and the cost, if any, for them

Yes, on that cruise line there is a cost for the shuttles.

 

I also would post this on the RCCI board and if you have more questions and I would also list the ports of call as that will make it easier for people to respond.
