They saw the success that Carnival was having with their version of the package in the Caribbean, which is now available on 8 ships, and then after NCL decided to start a trial run, RCI had to keep up with the Jones's and they came out with their two versions of the all you can drink package. The bottom line is that it gives consumers a choice and that is always a good thing.
