Lamanai or Xunantunich ruins in Belize

We did the Lamanai since we did not want to ride a bus for 2 hours to get to the ruins. We did 1 hr bus ride, then a 45 min. boat ride to get there. The Xunanuntich trip has a 2 hr bus ride there, and back. The Lamanai ruins are great to see. We climbed to the top, almost straight up steps, and there is a rope to hold onto on the way up. It was an amazing experience.

No, you cannot take a taxi to sting ray city (I am assuming this would be in Grand Cayman). It is over on the other side of the island in the middle of a large bay area. It is very fun to go into the water, waist deep on a sand bar area, and the stingrays are all there waiting for you. Another fun experience! You can also get a private tour right at the pier once you get off the ship. That is the way we went several years ago.

Lamanai is a wonderful excursion. We saw many different birds, crocs, turtles etc on the river and Ruins are very good. Saw quite a few Howler Monkeys and a couple of parrots while at the ruins. One of the better excursions we have taken
