  3. Wisconsin. Rapid Diagnostic Test (ID NOW): The Rapid Point-of-Care (POC) - NAAT (ID NOW) test also detects genetic material (mRNA) of the virus. The test is performed on site with results available within 24 hours.
  4. We used Walgreens and results in about 30min. Not a lot of praying to get results back in time. More if it is available when you need it with a 2-3 day scheduling window.

  9. Princess update for US departures: UPDATED: Will you offer COVID-19 testing near the terminal before my cruise? We strongly recommend all guests take a viral COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) prior to leaving home to avoid queues and travel disruptions associated with a possible positive test result on the day of embarkation. We understand that it may be difficult for some of our guests to find testing that can provide results within a 2-day turnaround. Accordingly, for guests who did not receive their test results within 2 days prior to their embarkation, we have mobile testing sites near our embarkation ports to conduct COVID-19 testing the day before, or day of, your cruise departure. The company providing the testing will charge a per-person fee of $150. Providers will not accept insurance, but you will be provided a receipt should you wish to submit the cost to your insurance carrier. Please consider this as a back-up alternative should you not be able to make arrangements prior to leaving home. In accordance with CDC protocols, guests who test positive for COVID-19 on embarkation day will be denied boarding, together with their family members and close contacts, may be required to quarantine shoreside, and may be restricted from commercial air travel. If you, your family members, traveling companions or other close contacts are suspected of having COVID-19 and are denied boarding, you will be entitled to a 100% Future Cruise Credit.
  10. Yup odd indeed, as the web site on both the personalizer and cruise history list them separately. Maybe it just means it will be the same medallion?
  11. I thought I had one not showing also. Then I looked deeper and found the B2B was showing as a single cruise on the app even with different cabins.
  12. Close to your cruise the app generates a boarding pass with a QR code. I took a screen shot incase the app would not open but they asked for neither. As all things this may change over time. From the Princess website: Things to Bring Your Medallion – Wear it to the port if you ordered it ahead of time.* The MedallionClass App – This will have your OceanReady boarding pass with a QR code. Travel Documents – Double-check that you have all the required docs. Hand Sanitizer and Wipes – We’ll provide it in the terminal and on board, but you may also want your own supply. Two Weeks Worth of Medications – Including contact lenses, as a precaution.

  14. Sorry if I wasn't clear. I was talking about the QR code and the app on your device. They still need to verify your passport, vaccination and testing. But it goes really quick.
  15. I printed an image of the QR code in case the app would not load, but they asked for neither at embarkation. If you have your medallion they just scan that and know if you have completed everything. Quick and simple if you have things completed.
  16. Yes, was able to upgrade on our recent Majestic cruise after boarding. Be polite and understand that it takes some time and effort for both you and the crew to get everything changed over. Day 2 we were still logging into the WiFi under the old cabin #. Of course the earlier you board the better. Each cruise is different so be OK if the answer is no.
  17. Funny how they can take your money in two minutes, but two months to get it back☹️. The initial refund surge from last year should be done or at least slowed by now.
  18. Agree, but I can see that for some sitting with a drink on your porch listening to music from the piazza might be a draw. Just remember to get dressed first 😉.
  19. Good question. I presume initial sailings would be scheduled where LNG is available, but I would think it could be trucked into ports in most developed countries. If they can refuel dockside or need a separate fuel barge is a question. It also appears they will be dual fueled so if LNG not available no problem.
  20. Honestly the plane ride there and home was a worse mask experience than the cruise. You are not masked in your cabin/balcony or open decks or pools/hot tubs or eating or drinking pretty much what we do onboard. The production shows could be a little annoying with a mask but 45 min, not hours. As others have said forgetting it in the room was an issue. Shoreside just in stores or transportation.
