Indycal Posted February 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2012 These were displayed on the ms Oosterdam this month. I cannot remember seeing a recent photo of all of them together on this site. I do not have a star pin like the ones displayed, are those new?
Rare erewhon Posted February 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2012 Thank you for posting the photo. Those pins are the two, three and four star Mariner pins. Our three star and more recently four star pins were mailed to us, after achieving those levels. If you have never received a pin, perhaps you should contact the Mariner Society. The only one we have is that little blue pin. We will hit 3 stars our next cruise, so I want to get our 2 star pin. Good idea, I will call them next week. sail7seas Posted February 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2012 For those who don't know what they represent: From left: The Copper Medallion represents 100 days The Silver Medallion represents 300 days The Gold Medallion represents 500 days The Platinum represents 700 or more days. These are actualy days sailed..... no days are added for any other reason than the guests was aboard for that number of days. The pins are: Two Star Mariner: 30 days Three Star Mariner: 75 days Four Star Mariner: 200 or more days These days are a combination of actual days on an HAL ship in addition to one extra day for every $300 spent, not to exceed the number of days in your cruise. Also, suite guests get double days. If you are in a Suite and sail 7 days, you get credit for 14 days in addition to any days you get for spending. Indycal, Thanks for posting the photo. You're right... we haven't had one posted in a long time. :)
