Marie51 Posted March 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Hi all, I know anything can happen but do you think this flight is ok for a Sunday. Thanks Stewart I think you will make it unless there is a delay getting off the ship.
miamiyogi Posted March 12, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Anything after 11AM in general is considered fairly safe. But to be positively sure, early afternoon flights are much better. To put this a different way: If you frequent the boards here you know that generally you can board a ship early by 11AM, the cruise documentation always says boarding begins at 2PM this is because they know 99% of the time they can take on passengers by that time, they can only get people onboard earlier about 75% of the time. Using that logic, doesn't it make sense to book a flight around 2PM...because you know you will be off the ship 99% of the time? Yogi
JohninDC Posted March 12, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2012 For a domestic 11:15 flight you need to be checking in by 9:45 (and earlier is better - the TSA lines at MIA are bad!), which means in a cab at POM before 9:30. Unless there delays caused by weather  or customs/immigration :( you shoudl be fine as long as you carry your bags off. A flight after noon would give you some breathing room and you would not need to spend any time worrying about making your flight. Good luck! :)
