Proper way to attach luggage tag?

If you follow RCI's directions for attaching the tag to a baggage handle, the bar code is wrapped around the handle, and I'm wondering how they can read the bar code? It's not on the flat pice sticking out, (on the end of the tag), but in the middle.

You're talking about the luggage tags that RCI mailed to you? We haven't had a problem. Just remove the backing the 3 or so inches they show on the back and stick the sides without info together (sticky side to what "sticky side without the backing taken off, would be) and the entire tag is visible. You don't overlap the sticky over the "good" side. You put two back sides together. We put two on each bag. One on the top handle and one on the side. We've never lost a tag or a bag with RCI.

 

Don't remove the entire backing making the whole tag sticky. Read the directions on the back of the tag and it tells you to only remove it so far. That way the tag will be a loop.

Thank you, we didn't see that part. It's just fine now. Must be our "morning of sailing" jitters!

We put two on each bag. One on the top handle and one on the side. We've never lost a tag or a bag with RCI.

 

Ditto! This way your room location can be seen from the top or side depending how they stack (and I use that term loosely) the bags!

If you are flying, please do not add those RCI luggage tags until you have reached your final destination and are ready to make your way to your port of embarkation.
