cruise photos dvd

Does anyone know how we can make a dvd with a long slideshow of photos from our cruise? We would like to keep it basic, but we would like to make the picutres "float in and out" and we would like to play music in the background? Is there and cheap or free software available? Any free trials? Thanks very much!

well there is powerpoint ,, not sure about the music and stuff with that tho!

If you have XP, Windows Movie Maker is included... You can make a movie from the pics, add music, etc.

I also have a program called "My DVD Slideshow". It's from Kodak. Works great.

I am not good at this computer stuff. But I would love to do this with pictures from our cruises. Is there somewhere that I can have this done for me?
