Drinks on us card at the Casino - Question

Went on the Carnival Extasy 2 weeks ago (4 nights). As luck would have it, by the time I won the drinks on us card! We were leaving the next day and by then I was all drinked out on my own dime. (All 2 drinks the first day and 4 drinks the next not including the bottle of wine I got at dinner which I shared with the nice couple next to us - Yes I sure party like a rockstar!!!)

I actually got a drink with the card, to celebrate my win and couldn't drink it all. So was a waste for me really...

I do have another cruise coming up in August aboard the Destiny and was wondering if there would be any benefit to bringing my sail and sign card from the previous cruise? I know it's not saving me tons of money... but, a dollar saved is a dollar saved!

I realize how unlikely it would be for them to start me off on "drinks on us" but do I get the benefits of any of the previous points?

Casinos in general will allow you to keep your players card active if used once a year at minimum. Is there any similar perks on Carnival?

Is this information available somewhere?

What you should do is contact Ocean Players Club, the unit that runs the Carnival Casinos. Give them your name and booking number, and see what kind of goodies you qualify for. It could be anything from a photo coupon to strawberries, chocolates, and a bottle of wine, etc.

Unfortunately, the "drinks on us" card will not roll over to this cruise. You must start all over again in order to obtain one.

Good luck and I hope that lightning strikes twice for you!

I just got off of the Triumph on Monday, and on the night we sailed, the casino host came over to me (apparently checked the computer to see if I was playing at the time) and put a "drinks on us" card on my sail and sign card. She said it was due to "my previous play" on the Conquest last July.

She had a clipboard in her hand, and was checking people off of a list. So, it does happen. I would not consider myself a "huge" player, but apparently I played enough to get this nice perk. It was totally unexpected, and since I was on a four day, it was nice to get it that very first night!

Good for you! Glad to see that at least some of the hosts are playing it smart!

My daughter was with me and playing a little more than I was, and the casino hosts sent her strawberries a couple of times to the cabin also. The host was Dianna and she was very nice, my daughter got one plate of strawberries from her assistant, and one from Dianna the last sea day.

Thank you guys for your responses. I will try and call and see what they say... and I will post back here in case it helps someone else in future.

I figured they wouldn't just give me a card first day, but I wonder if some of those points carry over making me not have to wait until the last day (being that I am not a big drinker) it really isn't that big a deal, but like I said... a dollar saved is a dollar saved! I would much rather spend that money on Disney souveniers since this crusie is B2B with a Disney vacation... hehehe

I am glad some people got perks! And chocolate is good!

Keep ya posted!
