Rome hotels offered by Oceania

The Intercontinental de la Ville is very nice; we stayed there once post-cruise, back in the days when we used to book these type of things through the cruise line...:o Agree that you can almost always pay less if you book your hotel on your own, and Rome has a plethora of nice hotels.

IMO, the most important thing in Rome is location. There's no one place that is convenient to everything, because Rome is so huge, and the Metro isn't all that convenient for some places in the city. Pick the sights that you want to see, and plan your hotel location accordingly.

Last time we visited, proximity to Termini was most important, so we stayed in a small place near Piazza della Repubblica.
