Ensenada Questions Feb 2013

Have a few questions about our quick 3 day cruise in February 2013. What are the possibility of seeing any whales? What might the weather and/or seas be like this time of year - cool, rough seas, etc. Any must do or see things in Ensenada? Just DH & I for our anniversary so really just looking to spend time together, and this is a surprise, he doesn't know I booked us for a cruise!

Generally the whales are further south. Temps can range from 50s to 70s. I would plan for 60s.

Whales are further south near Cabo San Lucas. Does Carnival offer a whale watching tour? If they do then there probably are some whales in the area.

You will probably won't see any whales.

 

If you want to do a nice tour, take the winery tour. The tour goes to 2 wineries and you get a free bottle of wine.

 

The cruise is always rougher coming back from Ensenada. The weather is unpredictable. Feb. is usually the rainy season. But, we have been lucky enough not to get any rain. It is usually in the low to mid 70's in Ensenada and cooler on the ocean. Long Beach will probably be in the low to mid 60's.

Thanks for the info everyone. So, I will plan for cool/chilly days and will just enjoy watching the ocean.
