Have the shows changed yet?

I was on a Carnival Cruise in 2009 and 2011. Both times, the shows were the same. I thought they changed them out every 2 years or so (maybe I was between changes). Anyway, I was wondering if they have changed them yet, or if anyone knows when they will be changing? Thanks.

every 5 years if you're lucky

Many of them can run 10 years, very expensive and time consuming to change shows so they run and run.

The CD on Carnival Ecstasy told us once that it is easier to teach new cast members the old shows than to change out sets, props, costumes, and music. So, on the same ship you will see the same shows again and again. There are some ships that have shows unique to that ship, like Ecstasy has the Extreme Country show.

Lots of shows are on multiple ships.

 

For example we have seen the beatles show Ticket to Ride on 4 different ships.
