Port or Starboard from Dubai to Singapore

Can't help with entering/leaving port, but I'd go for a cabin on the starboard side for maximum sun

in the days when India was part of the British Empire and before air conditioning the way to go was Port Out Starboard Home - or POSH.

On the outward journey and the return you would be on the shady side of the ship.

Hopefully, the British had different sayings depending on where you were sailing from...and where you were sailing to :)
