Port or Starboard from Dubai to Singapore

Any advice on whether to book port or starboard on a cruise from Dubai to Singapore calling at Oman, Cochin and KL with several at sea days when I would hope to make the most of the verandah?

If you're looking for seeing things on a shore, you're not going to see much because you cruise way too far from the shore to see anything, so it really doesn't matter where you book your cabin.

I was really thinking more about light/sun on the verandah and also shore views when coming in to or leaving port.

Port side for arrival Singapore. Through the Malacca strait either side gives some views.

Can't help with entering/leaving port, but I'd go for a cabin on the starboard side for maximum sun

On the outward journey and the return you would be on the shady side of the ship.

Hopefully, the British had different sayings depending on where you were sailing from...and where you were sailing to :)
