wannabeavip Posted August 24, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2012 Will be in St Thomas in early December. Any news on prices per carton and can I mail or fedex them back home? I know I can get 5 cartons through customs in my luggage but don't want to lug them around.
kjunea Posted September 2, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2012 Can't help you on the prices, but it would be cheaper to use one of the USPS flat rate boxes to ship them home, if you are so inclined. People sometimes forget that St. Thomas is a US Territory, so their phones, etc. work just like home. You could bring an unfolded box from home and fix it on the ship, then take it by the post office and mail it.
sail7seas Posted September 2, 2012 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2012 I don't buy cigarettes and don't know the answer but I certainly would research whether it is legal to send duty free cigarettes through U.S. mail. I think you might have to make a declaration as to the contents of the package and duty would be payable but don't take my word for it. :o
O2B@Cagain Posted September 2, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2012 If it were legal to ship cigarettes, St Thomians would be standing in line at the post office to make money!;)
gadaboutgal Posted September 5, 2012 #5 Share Posted September 5, 2012 Marlboro Cartons are about $25 each at the grocery store, Pueblo. There are Pueblo stores within a short walk from the exit of both Crown Bay and Havensight.
