mpoole3 Posted September 18, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted September 18, 2012 Now booked B2B on Monarch Oct 19 & Oct 22 sailing. Prices were simply too low not to add a second sailing!
Dgoodname Posted September 18, 2012 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2012 Just booked on Carnival Dream 10-20-12 solo. A great month for cruising solo. Kids back in school, hurricane season ramping down. Still warm enough to play in the water and go back to work with a suntan. Have fun everyone!! Rare NorbertsNiece Posted September 18, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 18, 2012 I know the short cruises don't have a Meet and Mingle but there may very well be roll calls for people cruising on the relevant Monarch board. Enjoy :D

yellowbird23 Posted October 12, 2012 #15 Share Posted October 12, 2012 Now booked B2B on Monarch Oct 19 & Oct 22 sailing. Prices were simply too low not to add a second sailing! Just came back last Friday from Monarch solo. Not my favorite cruise, but better than nothing. Had a superior ocean view for very cheap on deck 9 near the spa. Very, very quiet. This time I had hot, hot water in the shower. There is a small, very clean beach around the corner on Bay Street that I went to. Has public rest rooms, drinks, water toys, etc. You can do a walk within 15 minutes to get there. Beautiful aqua water...

yellowbird23 Posted October 13, 2012 #20 Share Posted October 13, 2012 That's the beach I plan on going to. I did some research on it yesterday morning. I might just peak my head into señor frogs on the walk back. They had bucket of beers at the little bar there. I don't drink, but it was a nice place to sit and relax. I was so surprised to see they cleaned it up in the past 3 years. In the evening, the aquarium at Atlantis is free after 5 or 6 o'clock as well. A lot of people don't know that. The shuttle by water costs 4$ one way. As for the casino in Atlantis, for the first time in my life I can finally say that I didn't gamble on this cruise. Not one penny!!! The beach behind Atlantis is also open to the public.:D

mtiffany24 Posted October 13, 2012 #22 Share Posted October 13, 2012 I am solo on the Vision of the Seas next Friday (6 days!) going from my hometown San Diego through the Panama Canal to Fort Lauderdale. It's my first time on Royal Caribbean. I usually go on Holland, but a great price enticed me. My roll call is quite lively and I think they will welcome me even as a solo. MrFunInTheSun Posted October 29, 2012 #24 Share Posted October 29, 2012 Thanks im so ready! I've looked back at your review over and over again! Hope this cruise was all you had expected it to be and then some despite the weather. The storm coming through though just adds more adventure to the trip. Did all the "first" cruising solo fears subside within a reasonable amount of time I hope? Based on your review it looks like it did. Wait till your next solo cruise, I trust there will be another? :)

Based on your review it looks like it did. Wait till your next solo cruise, I trust there will be another? :) I have zero fears of cruising Solo! In fact, I already booked Freedom solo for Oct 2013 (cow sweet) and ill be back on Monarch in March. I loved it! Met so many people who all thought I was crazy at first when I was alone, but no one really "judged" me because of it. I'm starting to wonder if ill ever let anyone cruise with me again!
