Scott34787 Posted September 5, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2012 Well that's the the NWS is calling it. Sounds like a b-movie title. :) The remnants of the storm are hanging out in the northern Gulf. 40% chance of Tropical Cyclone formation in the next 48 hours. Stay tuned! Scott34787 Posted September 5, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted September 5, 2012 Will that thing ever go away? Apparently not. Just saw the weather report - they expect the "Spawn" to stay in the Gulf for several days and maybe reform into a depression. I'm guessing if it turns into a tropical storm it will be "T.S. Nadine" - who da thunk it? A sex-changing T.S.!! :) ps. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

cruzn buckeye Posted September 6, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 6, 2012 And which way will it go? will it reverse itself and go back on the states? or will it drop into the gulf hitting coz, roaton, and belize? Can a tropical storm go backwards like that??

Scott34787 Posted September 6, 2012 Author #9 Share Posted September 6, 2012 1. Are you kidding me?!2. Nadine? Did I miss a few letters in between? Welcome back to the party MM! We had Isaac, Joyce, Kirk, Leslie and Michael. This will technically be a "new" storm so it would be Nadine (unless another ones forms before) _-Scott-_

From a seasoned Floridian, almost 0% chance of it coming anywhere near Miami. It will most likely go back across northern florida/panhandle area and then head out towards Bermuda. Pack your bags buddy, you're going cruisin'! BTW, Go Blue!

Where you go from therewill depend on where this very confused transgendered storm decides to go. The spaghetti models this am look even more confused. But the local guys aren't convinced it'll strengthen back into a named storm. *sigh* They are predicting a very rainy birthday weekend for me though. Yay! Sometimes I really hate this time of year. Rare crewsweeper Posted September 6, 2012 #17 Share Posted September 6, 2012 Current radar looks like it's spawned out. Very disorganized and outside a small band of showers on FL's west coast away from land and no wind.

spleenstomper Posted September 6, 2012 #23 Share Posted September 6, 2012 For those interested, what basically happened is 3/4 of Isaac hit La and then went up and all the way over to Mass while dissipating. The other 1/4 broke off and hung out in the Gulf. Since this isn't the majority of Isaac, it will be renamed. Had it been the larger portion, it would still be called Isaac. Joyce, Kirk, Leslie, Michael were all in the Atlantic and not a threat to land. (Leslie may still be and and is around Bermuda...)
