Suite Perks on Summit

Hi experts..

We are in Sky suite 6145 on a bto b from San Juan next year

We are select dining and like to have dinner as a 2

What exactly are the restaurant perks as a suite guest?

I see we get one complimentary specialist per week. What about BLU?

Will we be able to eat in BLU? How does this work for suite guests and is there a supplement?

I just want some advise on how the priority restaurant perk works in practice. Thanks guys:)

Blu is available at breakfast for Sky Suite guests without reservation or additional charge... It's very nicely done...

As a Sky Suite guest, Blu is potentially available to you [but not to children under age 12 if applicable] at dinner on a space available basis... I've seen ready availability, limited availability, and no availability dependent upon the dining patterns of AquaClass guests [who get priority] from sailing to sailing... Suggest that you check-in with the Blu Maitre 'D early in your cruise to inquire about prospects [they can vary from day-to-day] and procedures...

Until recently, suite guests were assessed a $5/person upcharge when having dinner in Blu... There have been recent reports on this forum that such surcharge has been discontinued...

To my mind, Blu affords a terrific dining experience... Enjoy!

There's no age limit in Blu. There is a minimum age for restaurants like Normandie and Muranos, but no minimum age for Blu.

OP, there's really no such thing as restaurant perks for suite guests. Yes, you can dine at Blu on a space available basis (don't count on it because if Aqua Class is fully booked, there won't be much availability), but that's not a guarantee. On our recent Summit cruise, AQ was fully booked, so availability wasn't there.

We've been in suites many times and have not heard of the term "restaurant perks".

There is no age limit relative to children who are booked in AquaClass; a rarity in that AQ cabins accommodate no more than two... But there most assuredly is an age restriction--apparently just at dinner; I haven't seen it enforced at breakfast--for the children of suite guests who seek to dine in Blu... I've seen it enforced [including on solsticized Millennium Class] several times...

Following is the appropriate citation [this morning] from Celebrity's website...

Are there age restrictions for Specialty Dining?

Yes. Guests dining in Celebrity's Specialty Restaurants must be at least 12 years old, with the exception of Silk Harvest, Qsine®, Bistro on Five, The Lawn Club Grill, and Tuscan Grille. Guests of any age will be accommodated in these five restaurants. Also, children of any age that are booked in AquaClass®; staterooms are welcome to dine in Blu with an adult.

Additionally, onboard Celebrity Solstice® Class ships, children that are at least 12 years old, and booked in suites, will be accommodated in Blu when dining with an adult, based on availability.

Ok

I am not travelling with my kids who are 21 now!

It is just hubby and I on a romantic cruise.

I was wondering if Blu is an option for us. We usually eat about 8pm or later. We have this priority restaurant booking perk in the suite, but I want to know what really happens. We have gone off topic here to talk about age limit. We are nearly 60! ok;)

Didn't mean to hijack your thread but, when you first posted, I had no idea as to whether/not you have kids, and if so, if they'd be traveling with you and their ages...

I responded in a manner that was both comprehensive and correct... And since others will read your post and responses, it is important that misinformation be resolved for the benefit of all members...

Once again... Enjoy...

No one on this board has ever figured out what the priority restaurant booking perk is however I will tell you in reality what to do. Your best bet in booking a specialty restaurant is to have your Butler do it. He will make all the arrangments. Don't forget that in a suite you get one free specialty restaurant so use that on one of the more expensive restaurants, either Normandy or Qsine.

Blu is definitely an option, you may eat there if space is available and there usually is.
