hangover pills from the drugstore

I don't know which one's you are refering to, but I've used something called 'Drink Mate'.

I'm not much of a drinker ... anymore. These have worked for me. They're taken before drinking, like Alke-Seltzer.

Get a Goody's or BC Powder and dump it under your tongue. Hold it there for as long as you can stand it. Then chug about half a bottle of gatorade. Works like a charm.

The ones that I have used with success in the past are called Chaser. I know that they carry them at CVS, Walgreens, etc. HTH :)

Similarly for the poster advocating DrinkMate, except it has a small dose of caffiene and some herbs whose efficancy in helping hangovers is questionable in it and a bunch of bi-carbonite of soda for fissiness.

This works because the asprin powder works on the headache and the Gatorade rehydrates you and adds some sugars (sucrose, glucose and fructose) to your system. The Ross Labs Rehydrate brand would work too as it has more sodium and potassium and uses only glucose. Plain old orange juice from the Lido or room service can work just as well and has less sodium than either of the above.
