Carnival Valor Review w/pics

We just got off the ship and I wanted to start my review on the drive home. I will start posting pictures tomorrow.

 

First off let me say that we had an amazing time. There are a few things that I would change but over all the fabulous outweighed the mediocre.

 

Amazing things:

-Gerard in the YTD dining room

-Far from Over show

-Scarlett's Steakhouse

-The brand of Moscoto that the ship serves

 

The has room for improvement list:

-need a better way to deal with the smoke in the casino

-better use for Winston's--great space that wasn't really used

-better communication from guest services

 

I will go into more detail about all of these in my review over the next few days. I have over 1100 pictures to go through and will be posting a lot of them.

Winston's used to be the Cigar Bar. I'm not certain Carnival has figured out what to do with those spaces since they cut back on where cigars may be smoked.

LOL i agree I love pictures, doesnt matter that its not my next ship or itinerary but what does matter is IT IS CRUISE PICTURES!!

Looking forward to your review. We sailed her 3 years ago and are sailing her again in about 3 months on a B2B eastern and western. I'm curious what may have changed?

Sailed her both East and West itinerary. Love the heroes decorations, especially Rosie the Riveter at the Lido.

Hello OP and everybody! DW and I were on the 9/23 6-day sailing just before yours. Definitely agree that Scarlett's Steakhouse was awesome! And I also agree that Winston's is terribly underused, because it is a GORGEOUS space!

 

DW and I definitely agree that Valor is our current favorite ship! Look forward to reading your observations about your trip!

We just got off the Valor today as well. I am planning to write a review as soon as I get unpacked and rested. We had a wonderful time, the ship was in fantastic shape and we loved the changes made since the last time we cruised on the Valor (Serenity Deck). We had some "issues" however, such as the sound system in the Ivanhoe Lounge and our service in the dining room was the worst we have ever had.
