Our one-hour drive through the mountainous interior of Montego Bay continued,

heading to Martha Brae (for the bamboo raft experience):

The infrastructure of the city is going through a series of explosive modernizations which once completed,

aims to keep Montego Bay as a top destination in the Caribbean and the world.

Hi,

your pictures are amazing.

What kind of camera did you use????

They make you feel like you are there! DW and I are hooked on the story ! Can't wait for Cozumel or NOLA!!!!

The response to your question, however, is below:

-----

The camera is a somehow 'older' Panasonic Lumix, FZ35.

After the Steakhouse dinner, we had a great time at the Casino Bar catching up with friends over drinks!

Then there was so much buzz about that evening's show, "Point & Click" that we decided all to go to see it.

Unfortunately, few minutes into the show, there were some "technical difficulties" that never got resolved so:

Back for some more drinks at the adult comedy show and then.. "Good night, stars!"

Spanish is the official language of Cozumel.

However, because this is such a popular tourist destination, most locals speak at least basic English.

The peso is the National Currency of Mexico.

However, one can use US Dollars for just about everything in Cozumel, including tips, taxi or bus fare, etc.

There are three (3) cruise ship piers in Cozumel; all three are about a 10-minute taxi ride from the Downtown area and

each cruise lines’ ships dock at a specific pier.

NOW the Pier looks empty but in few minutes, THOUSANDS of passengers will invade the area,

getting off the Carnival's Conquest & Magic too!

You're photos are beautiful. I am really enjoying looking and reading about your cruise.

My only question is, Did you have time to enjoy yourself?? It just seems you were busy taking these breathtaking photos all the time and did not have time for yourself. Of course, I am sure you enjoyed being able to capture all the beauty around you.

Sure thing! Relaxing (after escaping the big city), seeing new places and meeting new people = TOP PRIORITY!

Capturing happy faces or beautiful scenery doesn't take away from the fun or happiness -

it's part of the 'process' and doesn't feel like a burden or missing the real action.

Hence, lots of wonderful memories are not necessary captured in pictures (as the camera was not used in purpose to fully enjoy those precious moments).

Thanks a lot for following our photo journal and especially for keeping an eye on the human side of the story. : - ))
