cruiseonly Posted October 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2012 Does anyone know the cost of an Carnival transfer to the airport from Fort Lauderdale, in comparison to taking a taxi for 2 people. Is it more convenient taking the transfer rather than waiting for a taxi. Thank You
firefly333 Posted October 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2012 I think the transfer was around $10 pp. the taxi was $10 to $12, depending on if you had to wait for the bridge.. Ive heard both prices.. the port and airport are very close. So if there are two of you, the taxi is cheaper. I did the transfer, since it was just me.. you do wait for the bus to fill. soccersharon Posted October 25, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 25, 2012 Carnival transfers are usually about $15.00 per person. Note that they will wait for the shuttle to be full before departing - so could be a long wait. I used them twice, and everything worked out fine. jimbug Posted October 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2012 Take a taxi. The ride is only 5-10 minutes, max, and you don't have to wait on a bus full of people to load and unload. Even if you have a large group, you can take a van taxi.

I think I only paid $17 for the transfer from Miami to MIA ..a much longer ride.
razzinger Posted October 25, 2012 #6 Share Posted October 25, 2012 Carnival charges $15 per person (on their website). I have seen on CC that its about $12 per taxi for a taxi which can hold 4-6 people(vans) and their luggage!

serene56 Posted October 25, 2012 #8 Share Posted October 25, 2012 it will be quicker to wait for a cab then to wait for the bus to fill up. we pay a porter 10 bucks and he takes us to the first available taxi we have yet to wait in a line for a cab w

Its been a while since I did the transfer at this port. F.Y.I. .. from FLL to POM - $30.00 per person. Much less expensive to get a driver. Prices are ridiculous! SAS charges $15.00 per person.
