Before I try and finish Aruba today, I want to thank my wonderful baby who worked on the review last night after about a 15 hour work day. You are amazing!!!

We had about a half hour to do some shopping at the store and of course some people headed right for the bar.

We had another fun ride back to the ship and many were making use of the poles on the bus (sorry, pictures not suitable for CC). The total excursion time was about 4 hours and I have to say it was one of the best we have ever done! A lot of it was the people we got to share it with. Aruba is very accessible right off the ship and we cannot wait to go back.

We were so exhausted that we took a power nap and got up just in time for sail away. I wish we’d had more time to explore the port but we knew we wanted to get some rest so we’d be good to go for the evening. We did get some great shots from sail away though.

Time for the past guest party where we ran into Ron and Linda. It took us a while to get a drink but I flagged Ioana from the Piano Bar and she kept us hooked up for the rest of the event. At the start they only had Rum Punch (which was fine with me) but they were huge, pint glass, and not weak.

P1020532.jpg

The apps they had were OK, but some of them were cold by the time the got around to us. By the time it was ready to go, we each had two full drinks in front of us. We went back to the room to put one each in the fridge and took one to the Red Frog Pub for some apps.Timmy was unfortunately off tonight and the guy playing in the Pub was only playing country which was putting us to sleep. I had the Pulled Pork Sliders and Cass had the Conch Fritters. She didn’t love them but mine were pretty good. Killed some time in the casino before “Pirate Night” in the Piano Bar.

We got there 15 minutes early and it was already packed. Apparently Ron was bored so he decided to start his set early. Timmy stopped by and I was able to get a nice photo with him.

Fortunately Joanne was on the lookout and grabbed us seats as soon as they became available.

Sylvia busted out the props again and of course I got one

Erman with one of his 'way too many' Long Island Ice Teas (we did not see him until the following evening :o)

Erman Frump! (I can't do it nearly as good as the master)

Thasnks Chris for the shout out for pic credit. Good to see my mug in there after the 1st unflattering one of me looking goofy on the Banana Bus. :D I can see that drunk lady too that was trying to hit me up in one of the pis of You and Ehrman scowling at camera. Was I glad to ditch her! Remember her throwing a dollar AT Ron Pass instead of the tip jar?

Geez, I forgot she was there that night. I have a mention of her in the next day's part. She was just scary :o

Ditto what pizzaeater said... thanks for the photo credit! It was a blast sailing with you guys and next time, we have to hang out more and be a bigger part of the shenanigans!

At least our shenanigans were harmless. We just made fools out of ourselves most of the time. :D And you have another mention (plus a picture of you guys) coming up on the next day.

I have several things I could say to that but I don't want to get this thread shut down so I'll just keep them to myself

Sure wish you guys were going on the January 19th sailing of the Breeze... You guys look like a fun couple! Thanks for your review, it is one of my favorites.

Thank you for the kind words. We always have fun but it was great with this group because we had over a year to break the ice and get to know them. I can only imagine what we'll be like on the Victory :D

Another AWESOME review by Chris & Cass!!! Enjoyed meeting you guys on the Liberty and hope to sail with you again one day. We are booked in a cove balcony on the Breeze in 3 weeks and can't wait! :D:D:D

Hey BigDog!!! We had a great time on the Breeze (obviously :o). I'm sure you will too. Are you going to try the 'Awesome Bar Card' on your cruise? I know our friends certainly got their money's worth :p

Absolutely getting the drink card for this one! Went on a 3 day in Sept and my bar bill was more than the whole 8 days will cost for the card!

OK, let's see how much of our Sea Day I can get through before I get hit with another project.

Friday – Sea Day – We slept in and went up to Ocean Plaza for breakfast. I was so happy to see they had chocolate muffins because I hadn’t seen them all year. I used my VIFP free drink coupon on a Bloody Mary for Cass. They had a stand set up outside the MDR for the comedy brunch. We just redeemed the coupon there and did not have to go into the actual show which was great because I was starving. We did our normal mini put game and I beat Cass handedly. I liked the course and they had balls/putters available right at hole one instead of at a desk (towel hut) but there was no score card or pencils. We had a little rain but it was very quick and not even enough to get us to go inside.

There was a digital scavenger hunt before Super Trivia so we decided to do it since we knew the ship rather well. If you do this, be prepared for some really weird looks from other guests (and even some rude ones, yeah I’m talking about you dick with the ice cream cone). It was pretty fun and very tiring. I pretty much just ran around the ship for 20 minutes and was exhausted by the time we were done.

Round 3 of Super Trivia was next and we got off to a slow start. Now we were never given total scores or even round scores so we knew we were in first, but not by how much. Apparently we were killing so Taylor thought she’d have some fun with me. I was getting most of the sports questions right and after I rolled for another sports question and she kicked the die for a physical challenge. But not just any physical challenge. If you’ve seen the gender showdown, then you probably know about the ‘coin in the cup’ challenge. Well everyone but me and the poor guy I picked to go up against had a good laugh. If you don't know what it is, you basically have to hold a coin between your cheeks (not the ones in your mouth), waddle over to a cup and drop the coin in the cup.

Good times . I ended up winning the challenge and rolled for 1 whole point.

No that's OK. At least these great folks on CC can be spared. She was like a car wreck though. You couldn't look away but it made you sick.

Well's there's nothing like a 45 minute impromptu meeting to ruin one's afternoon :(

We shared a Guy’s Burger for lunch and headed to the casino to kill some time before the Hasbro Game Show. We hadn’t seen this yet and wanted to be sure to catch it once (this was the last one for the cruise). We were just going to sit up the upper level and get pictures but Taylor spotted us and told us to come down. Cass really wanted to be called up to the stage but you really need to be sitting along the two main isles as he just pulls people from there. You had to answer a question correctly to get called up on stage and depending on the game, they either chose more kids or adults. Cass didn’t get picked for either but it was still pretty cool to see. I’m glad a little girl won (I assumed they always made it so a kid one but heard that isn’t true) as she was very excited.

First up was Yahtzee bowling

Then a form of Simon says where 4 people had to line up in the proper order

Everyone who won got to pick a card in sit in the winner's row. After two games they came up and put their card in the money machine to see who had won the grand prize.

And before I forget, this was how calm the sea was. From our balcony!

You'll have to excuse me while I tell a little story here. Almost ruined the whole week for me :(.

Cass wasn’t having too good of a day in the casino so she went to do her hair since we were going to have dinner at the Italian restaurant, La Cucina with our friends Ron & Linda and Alicia (ItalianFemmy) & Latanya. I was scheming on how to get Cass a pair of earrings without her knowing since the S&S card was tied to her credit card and she might notice a charge that big. I had popped in earlier and found out that I could pay with a personal credit card. So I went to the room with her and told her I was heading back to the casino. I got her earrings and just had to keep them hidden until we got home so I could wrap them for Christmas. She came back after a bit and I told her I was going to head to the room to get ready for dinner as well (just wanted to be alone so I could hide the earrings). I emptied everything out of my pockets and hid the earrings in my bag. I was so excited and pleased with myself until Cass came back in the room and asked me what the receipt on the counter was!!! My dumb ass had left the receipt right on the counter and ruined what would’ve been a great Christmas surprise. I was so disappointed with myself (and still am).

Sorry about that. Back to your regularly scheduled review.

Wow! Aruba looks amazing. DH and I are hoping to take the Breeze on the Aruba itinerary soon (maybe 2014). He's wanted to go to Aruba for forever! :D
