Hair dryers on Volendam

Can anyone plse advise on what type of hair dryers they have on this ship? I have very thick hair and the dryers sometimes installed in cabin bathrooms fixed to the wall are useless for me. Don't really want to have to pack one but will if they aren't very efficient.

The ones on the wall in the bathrooms are gone or have been disconnected.

HAL now has European style hair dryers.

I have found some are very good while others are worn out.

On one ship there was an excellent hair dryer in our cabin. We sailed on that same ship one year later in the same cabin -- the hair dryer was very weak.

I just asked for a new one -- delivered within minutes.

I never take my own and I have very long hair (not as thick as it used to be).

Even though there was still a working hair dryer on the wall, as before we found a really nice strong hair dryer in the drawer of the dresser. The one on the wall was worthless but the other one worked good and I have thick hair too.

Three times on the Volendam - each time we had excellent quality hairdryers. Located in the the top drawer of the desk area. That 'thing' in the bathroom that some refer to as a hairdryer is the most useless piece of equipment I have ever seen - doesn't surprise me to hear they have been disconnected :)

 

Anyway - I never pack a hairdryer and it's one thing I can't live without.

If there's not one in your room when you board, the front office or cabin steward will be happy to supply one.

Thanks for the responses. Think I will risk using the dryers on board and pack another pair of shoes!
