EboMike Posted December 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2012 I have a kid who'll just be couple of weeks shy of 2 by the time our cruise starts. How strict is the age limit? Do they check the passenger records, or is it a bit more relaxed?
serene56 Posted December 28, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2012 not a chance. zero, ziltch especially for the 2-5 group your child will need to be 2 by the sailing date. You registered the child when you booked-- and you need to produce a birth ceritficate. that is the date they go by for the camps. your childs name would not even show up on their manifest
Colorado Kat Posted December 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 29, 2012 Sorry, they really are quite strict with the younger kids.
Tbay-eh Posted December 29, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2012 Some times with older kids they will allow a little wiggle room but the younger age group is pretty hard and fast. They definitely will check out the age.

Fourkids4us Posted December 29, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 29, 2012 There is wiggle room actually but I doubt it would apply to an under 2. We sailed Sept 19th and my 5 year old went to the 6-8. I asked on JH's page and he said he said at their discretion they would wiggle 3months? I cant remember the # exactly. When I boarded I told then she was almost five but 6 in a few weeks and they said ok. Its entirely up to the camp staff. They change diapers so I dont really see what the big deal is. EboMike Posted December 29, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted December 29, 2012 Thanks everybody for your input - it's very much appreciated! It's pretty much what I expected (their website mentions "no exceptions" in several places), but I was hoping that in real life, a bit of wiggle room would be acceptable. Oh well... bsharynu Posted December 29, 2012 #8 Share Posted December 29, 2012 Sorry. There is no wiggle room for under 2, but you'll have a great time anyway!
