purpleally Posted January 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2013 Any advice on best way to get from Cruise ship to Fort Lauderdale airport? I know I do not want to take one of the shuttles. I'm thinking that what Regent offers is pricier than need be. Probably prefer private transportation. Our flight does not leave til mid afternoon so not in a big hurry to sit around FLL. Looking for ideas, prices.
Patti22 Posted January 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2013 Hi, purpleally, It is very easy to get a taxi and a very short and inexpensive trip to FLL airport. I don't remember exactly how much but it is about 5-7 minutes from the cruise terminal Enjoy! Patti

Travelcat2 Posted January 10, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2013 We found another couple to share the taxi with us. IMO that was the best way to go.

Travelcat2 Posted January 12, 2013 #8 Share Posted January 12, 2013 Larrys Limo is 70 bucks plus tip so that is the best I'm looking at If you find someone to share it, it would only be 35 bucks plus tip.
Responder Posted January 12, 2013 #9 Share Posted January 12, 2013 If you find someone to share it, it would only be 35 bucks plus tip. Yeah, but then they would have to follow the taxicab dress code. :p
Mjflowers Posted January 12, 2013 #10 Share Posted January 12, 2013 Did you really ever try to put 4 people plus luggage from a cruise into a taxi now days? Witnessed a couple with 8 pieces trying to fit all, plus themselves into cab. DW was in front seat with a large piece on her lap, and another under foot. DH in back with pieces stacked to the roof! Sure hope it was a short trip to wherever they were going:eek:
Travelcat2 Posted January 12, 2013 #11 Share Posted January 12, 2013 The taxicab we had in Miami was a van and fit four people and luggage with no problem. Unfortunately we did not meet the dress code:eek:
