Dining Room Open for Mariners on Embarcation?

MOST cruises (but not all) Mariners Embarkation Lunch is held in MDR between 12 noon and 1:30 P.M. It is sometimes only for Thee, Four and Five Star Mariners if there are a great many of them. They can only seat a certain number of people. Certainly check when you board and do not necessarily take the word of someone you may ask at the gangway. They sometimes 'get it wrong'. If you wish, go to Main Dining Room and ask.

A few times the main dining room has been closed on Embarkation day for special groups.

One time it was only open to 4 star Mariners (highest level at that time).

Once you drop off your carry-ons, etc. in your cabin, you head on down to the lower level of the dining room.

The lunch is suppose to be from Noon until 1:30, but a couple of people here have reported that the dining room closed at 1.
