How long did it take you all get to open sea once the boat leaves the dock?

It was about 7 hours I think. We left late and it was around 2:00am when we got out of the river, It is a slow ride down the MS River, but very cool!

Was there any live music, or all canned?

We will be cruising on the Elation out of NOLA next January. We took a cruise from there a few years ago (I think on the Fantasy). The drinking water was horrible. We thought it was due to traveling on the river, even though the water is processed by the ship. How was the drinking water on your cruise?

The captain told us that its 100 miles from the port to the Gulf. I think it took about 8 hours.

I don't drink any soda anymore so all I drank (other than alcohol) was water, didn't have any complaints on the water. :)

Yes, there some some live music right when we got on the ship and there was also live music every night in the Romeo and Juliet Lounge.
