brother_unknown Posted February 16, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2013 I'm thinking of lightening my load and (purchasing), then bringing a Kindle Fire with me instead of my Dell Portable. Has anyone written down their trip notes on a Kindle Fire while abroad?
spookwife Posted February 16, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2013 no, but mostly because i prefer to hand write my notes anyway. i seldom use my fire for that type of stuff.. just reading and a few games.
Rare Scrapnana Posted February 16, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2013 On my last cruise I kept my travel diary on my iPad. I still like hand writing my diary but I did find that I put much longer, more detailed information on the iPad. Am still deciding what I am going to use for next cruise. Alaskanb Posted February 17, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2013 No--but it's something i may do on our next trip. I keep our itinerary, passport copies, and emergency info in the cloud so can get to it easily from my Kindle Fire.
smeyer418 Posted February 17, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2013 I find the Kindle on screen keyboard infuriating slow and difficult to use.
RunnerGirl26.2 Posted February 17, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 17, 2013 I have a Kindle Fire. I think you can purchase a bluetooth keyboard to use with one of the note taking apps. I have seen a couple in the app store that work like a scrapbook almost--you can add photos, different fonts, etc.
mtwingcpa Posted February 17, 2013 #7 Share Posted February 17, 2013 I find the Kindle on screen keyboard infuriating slow and difficult to use. I was also going to mention that. I haven't used a Kindle Fire, but I do have an Android tablet of similar size. While the on screen keyboard is adequate for quick email replies (and my sig line says "please excuse the typos), I wouldn't want to use it for longer works.
