antsnanny Posted March 7, 2013 #26 Share Posted March 7, 2013 I really really did not want this to be a debate about smoking.....thus said thanks to all who posted about the fan...that was the intent of the post. I honestly do not feel comfortable asking my neighbor to let me know when they were finished...if I smoked I would be offended and think...when I'm done is done and would feel rushed. Thanks all for the fan idea. I'm going to buy a small one and bring an extension cord. You might want to call ahead and make sure NCL allows fans, especially those requiring an extension cord. pyrrhus Posted March 7, 2013 #27 Share Posted March 7, 2013 Just sail one of the Euro lines, Princess or Celebrity (except Costa and P&o I think??) since most of them are non-smoking in rooms or balconies. I wish the rest would head that way, but I don't make the rules and there are still enough smokers that not every cruise line is going to ban it. goldmom Posted March 7, 2013 #29 Share Posted March 7, 2013 I would suggest a battery operated fan. They may not allow the extension cord and the plugs are sometimes not conveniently located.
NLH Arizona Posted March 7, 2013 #30 Share Posted March 7, 2013 You might want to call ahead and make sure NCL allows fans, especially those requiring an extension cord. I had a small fan in my check in luggage on my April cruise and didn't have any problems.
