Bashlin Posted March 28, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2013 Just off the Victory and wanted to do a quick review. Our room 6549 was great, it's in its own hall with only 1 other room.. So no issues with kids running or noise. Only issue was bathroom wad very dated and needed attention. Bars - we did the cheers program and enjoyed it. Serenity bar was the best and had by far the best tasting drinks. Pool bar was terrible with waiters with bad attitudes and drinks consisting of mostly drink mix.. I even ordered a coke one time and was told "this bar is for drinks" . Casino bar was also good. Food was good, all buffet food was great, pizza was great but does have a thin crust. Plenty of staff keeping the buffet going. MDR- MDR was excellent, Lucas our head waiter was great.. Sat at table 404 and never waited over 10 minutes for our food and we ate in mdr each night. Request this table if you can on the Victory! Shows were good but not great.. Heard 3 different bands on board all were great.. Piano player "dana" I didn't care for.. Crew was all great, plenty of crew members always around. Passangers really annoyed me, not all but so many adults that just don't know how to act in public.. Sneezing on the buffet food, not keeping hygiene up.. Some just stunk after day 1 the rest of the trip. Had my sunglasses stole off the lido deck after getting up for about 2 minutes.. Which is my fault for walking off, but keep your valuables in sight! Over all a great trip with great staff, but horrible passangers. I was curious because I do not see 6549 on the deck plan and 6459 is what I am booked in during my cruise on the Victory in May. :D

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2 Those passengers you speak of are unfortunately on other cruise lines as well. Manners is something A LOT of people are lacking - they just haven't a clue. Not sure of the date, but the Victory is going into dry dock - early 2014 maybe? Glad to hear you enjoyed your cruise although I've got to tell you - I *thought* a coke was a drink! You actually answered one of my questions about getting a lounge chair on the balcony. Did you have to ask for it?
erby2283 Posted March 28, 2013 #8 Share Posted March 28, 2013 I had Room # 6424 on the Victory in 2011 and loved the layout of the room! The only drawback was that band below me at night. Not sure you had to deal with it on the other side of the ship but it kept me awake some at night. I love the L-shape rooms - just might go deck up next time! Bashlin Posted March 28, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted March 28, 2013 Awesome pictures! You actually answered one of my questions about getting a lounge chair on the balcony. Did you have to ask for it? Nope, all chairs were on deck when we arrived.. Here's a full moon pic from the balcony.. Loved it! And we didn't hear any noise from the band below, but the guest on the other side did complain.. Which I think the sound system is on the side which would be the even # cabins. Bashlin Posted March 28, 2013 Author #13 Share Posted March 28, 2013 Thanks for the review! I have been waiting for Victory info :) Did you have anytime dining?? We had early dining, but no one complained that I heard about long wait times in the mdr.. Actually a lot of tables were empty most nights, guess people did the buffet.. Which benefited us :-) Alot of the crew also said this was their first month of 8 on contract.. So they must have signed on when Victory changed ports.. And the cruise director Goose was no where to be seen.. Until the last day he was on the TV giving details on disembarking.. Maybe we just missed him. MrBanana1240 Posted March 28, 2013 #17 Share Posted March 28, 2013 We are going a 5- night cruise on the Victory in April 2014. the ship visits Nassau, half moon cay and grand Turk. Where Did you sail? And is it crowded? Like long buffet lines or not a single deck chair available? CruzCrazy Posted March 29, 2013 #18 Share Posted March 29, 2013 Hi there Bashlin, I seem to remember you and I were both wondering about FTTF on the Victory and when it would become available (so glad it did). I've used FTTF before on the Liberty but just wondering how it went for you on the Victory. What time did you get to port, what time on board, was your room ready on boarding, what time did your luggage show up, etc. Oh, one more thing. Did you use luggage express on debarkation? Thanks, and glad you had a good trip. Love your balcony picture of the moon. :) My turn in 31 days!
Misteaz Posted March 29, 2013 #19 Share Posted March 29, 2013 Ill be on that cruise in April also. Can't wait. We have a balcony for the first time. We will be in 7342. Pretty excited!!

Bashlin Posted March 29, 2013 Author #21 Share Posted March 29, 2013 Did you go to the Disco? How were the bar staff there? :D Bar staff at the discos was good, I only got a few fun ship specials so didn't get to test the drink mixing skills to much there as the fss always were premixed. Pool bar was the really only bad experience. That is main pool bar, aft pool bar was ok also. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

Ship propulsion ran great, first day we had to be running top speed 24/7..we had no engine issues at all.. Even went through a nasty storm on day 4 with no issues.. Omlete station was the only real crowed line in food lines, but crew did awesome to stay caught up. Plenty of deck chairs also, and serenity is great place for adults! We did have to mention we were fttf once inside terminal but after that it was good.. Also when leaving luggage make sure to tell porter. They put a special sticker on luggage when picking up. Luggage was all in room soon as we boarded.. Guest services vip was great, priority tendering was awesome, and we did do the luggage express on leaving and it worked flawlessly. Victory staff are all aware of fttf perks ;-) Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
