Venice - Shared Water Taxi

Does anyone have any experience using a shared water taxi to go from the Airport to a centrally located hotel and then from the hotel to the Cruise Port?

 

You can pre-book online at a cost of 21 EURO per person for either trip. They apparently take from 2 to 8 passengers. So the total cost would be 84 Euros for both trips. This is a huge discount off the private water taxi rate.

we used the shared water taxi, pre-booked on line....we waited approx 5-10 minutes, and were joined by 4 others, for a total of 6 of us.....worked out very well. Be prepared for a bit of a walk, rolling your suitcases, for approx 7 minutes, if I remember correctly,

The other thing I would suggest, ask if they help you with your luggage getting on and off the water taxi. :)

Sharing is normal in Venice. You can simply wait at the booking desk in the arrivals hall until you have 6. Then share . Regulated price is 100 Euros plus perhaps a bit more if more than 1 hotel stop.
