Question about Jacksonville Port?

My husband and I will be leaving from Jax Port on Aug. 24. I will be driving in the night before. Would like recommendations on hotels that will shuttle to port and leave car at hotel until we return? Any information on this would be great. Also, if this is not a good idea and would be better to drive and park at port let me know your thoughts on this as well.

Because I LOVE to visit your beach in the summer I'll try to help. :)

 

Many of the hotels offering the cruise parking deals will be north of Jacksonville and the port, near the JAX airport. Check www.stay123.com and www.parksleepfly.com If a "free" shuttle is not included in the deal, plan on about a $30 cab each way. :(

We think it's a great idea - if you saving money is more important to you than saving time post cruise. If you need to get on the road home asap, then you might prefer to park at the port.

We are flying in the night before our cruises. We booked with Jacksonville Plaza because they offer shuttle from airport to hotel and to the cruise port and return shuttle to airport. The cost was @ 75 for the night.
