Young adults in the casino?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We will soon be sailing on Indy, second time for us adults (group of 8) but first time with our teenage children. We enjoy spending some time in the casino after dinner, and I wondered what is the minimum age for playing (18 or 21?) and observing (if different?). There are 8 young adults in our group, ranging from 15 to 19, and whilst the younger ones will be in the teen areas, it is possible that the older ones (17 & 18) may enjoy watching the adults in the casino, only if its permitted if course.

Many thanks :)

Minimum age to play is 18. They will let younger people walk through the casino, but they usually won't be able to linger.

It seems like all that there is to do on a ship, 17-18 year olds would rather be somewhere else than watching others gamble.

Thanks for your unsolicited opinion.

Genuine thanks to those who have answered my question, very helpful and much appreciated.

Happy sailing all :)

Haha!!

I went to the casino for the first time on this ship since I am now 18, how much fun! I was able to actually come home with more money than I brought, I promise I am not an addict! :p I was with another friend who is 18 and a lady asked to see his sea pass so she could verify his age, if anyone is under 18 then they are going to have to leave. So make sure your 19 yr old brings his sea pass if he/she chooses to gamble!

Have a good trip!
